Birman : Not an Ordinary Cat
Individuals have this behavior or attitude of wanting to own a pet. They feel that these pets are an extension of themselves because they can dress them too or even communicate with them. They can also choose a pet accessory that their pets can wear. One of the most famous pets in the world is cats. They come from various breeds, have different temperaments and have one-of-a-kind temperaments. There are many websites and books wherein people can read and learn more about the cats and then eventually buy one to be their pet. The Birman is one of the many breeds of cats that is recognized by the Cat Fanciers’ Association. Some say that the Birman originated from Burma wherein it was considered as a sacred companion cat for the Kittah priests. Although it has still been a mystery on how the Birman cats really came about. If you look at them closely, you will notice that they have a semi-long silky hair as well as a semi-cobby body. They too have smaller ears compared to the other breeds. The usual body of the Birman needs to have an eggshell color or must be golden. The markings, on the other hand, must be pure chocolate, blue, cream, red, seal and the likes. However, tabby variations are also acceptable since this is something inevitable. Before you see the true coat color of the Birman, you need to be patient because all Birmans are born white. After a week for the dark color, you will see that their colors are changing. And two weeks’ time for the clear color Birmans. Some of the accepted colors for the Sacred Birman are blue-point, lilac-point, lilac tortie point, cream-point and the likes. The same colors are also accepted for the tabby versions. One of the first few parts that develop the color are the nose, tail and the tips of the ears. As for the real color, it will take two years to complete. One of the notable differences of a Birman from the other cats is their gloves. This is what they call the white paws of the aforementioned cat. Another is their clear blue eyes that remain such throughout their lives. As for the temperament of the Birmans, they are calm and docile. They are people-oriented and love to be with others. When you have guests in the house, expect your Birman to be there and greet them. When you and the guests play or talk, the Birman is expected to be there. They seem to have that attitude of being where the action is. They also like being carried like a baby and the likes. They too like to play with various toys. They will try to get what they want even if it means getting themselves in trouble. No matter what breed of cat you plan to buy, just make sure that you be a responsible pet owner. Also, remember the important things about your cat so that you know what to do when certain situations arise. |
