Cats are believed to be very stubborn and very arrogant. This is probably the reason why the adjective “catty” has been used to describe people who are stubborn, arrogant, and antagonistic. They are also inferior to dogs, when training is concerned. Dogs are easier to train more stuff compared to cats, which is not to say that it is impossible to train cats.

Cat training will obviously require owners a lot of patience and perseverance. People say that experience is the best teacher. This is true even for our beloved cats. They like doing things that was pleasant the first times they did them. They abhor doing things or not repeat them at all, once they did not like the first previous tries they did them.

People cannot exactly teach cats the tricks that they teach to dogs. But, it will be rewarding for cat owners to at least train their cats to not pee or poop in the floor, in the carpet or worst, in your own bed!

Despite your cats’ misbehavior, you should not punish them. Because, they will not learn from this or they will still continue doing the things you do not like them to when they know you cannot see them. Apparently, the saying that, “when the cat is away, the mouse will play,” is also true for cats. You should be able to arrange a system or a place that will make them the things you want them to do, and in return get themselves rewarded for doing a job well.
