Cats are inglorious independent and have their own mind and world. Can the cat really be teached a new tricks?

Some of the owner may sometimes think that their cat is never listen to them. Some owner think that cat are too arrogant to teach. The matter of fact is that the pets dont know and dont understand what you want them to do or what do you want from them.

To train your cat you need more time and patience. You need more time than training a dog. It’s better for you not to scold your cat because she will not listen when you are not looking.

The eight weeks old kitty can be considered as the best age for training, however, cat at any age can be taught.

Where to start

Firstly, you can start with training your cat to come to you when it’s called. It can be done by holding the cat at the figure that it likes most and give the treat. Be sure that your kitty is in a good mood. There should be not too noisy around, since cat is easuly get distracted and it’ll slow down the learning. Teach the cat one trick at a time, the trick should be short and easy to say.

Then, give the command to kitty by sitting or kneeling on the floor. Have to make sure that you make a happy voice. Give the cat with a treat when it comes to you. The most important thing is you have to praise your cat as well. Keep repeat your action again and again. If the cat feel annoy by your action then stop for the time. Try to do it few times a day per week. Once the cat know what you said then you can move to another trick.

Use harness and leash with the cat

For the start, you have to put the control on her, but avoid to retrain it once it is listen. Praise him for his good behaviour and well as offer him a gift or treat. Once the cat get used to with wearing it, then continue to attach the leash with him and walk him around. The cat will learn to heel on hte leash, but not every cat would.

The Crate

For the crate thing, it can be done very easy. Since cat like to stay in a dark place, then you can put a comfortable blanket and the toy for the cat inside the ctate. Talk to him nicely and give him a treat once you put him inside. Left him in there for a few minutes, then let’s him out. Try not to praise him once he get out of the crate since you will make him think this is the good thing to do and he will confused. Dont forget to give him a reward whenever he get into the crate. Leave the cat in the crate longer in each time, then he will think that’s it is a good thing to do.
