It always takes time for a new person entering in the family to understand and move along with them. In the same the cat would also require some period to be with the family members. Make sure that there is some open spaces for your cat and could easily get out of the cupboard at times. Be sure that you place the cupboard box quite in a shady place and it does not cause any kind of suffocation or over heat. Usually keep the cupboard box in a place where there is good flow of air and there are no harmful materials kept nearer to it. If you want, you could also place the some cushion clothes under the cat and during winter days, try to provide the cat with some woolen materials so that the cat does not feel any cold. Don't give your cat a reason to pop out, when it comes to get some things. Give them what they want. Try to clean and make the place much tidier.

Generally the box allows your cat a full safety even when you are out. It enables the cat to play by himself and also to jump around. This exactly gives us a peaceful mind and relaxation.  When you are not around your cat some times, it does allow your cat to be much engaged in his own world. It is the most safety way to keep way your cat from any kind of hurt or some harmful materials.
